I first read this on the 20th March 2007.

In which our hero endures a number of interesting experiences - culminating in an attempt to communicate with the Chtorrans. Like most things our hero attempts it results in an unclear ending. Sort of. Well, actually it's pretty clear cut, but I don't want to give anything away to first-time readers. I can say that it leaves enough to fill another two books, so don't be too worried that everything ends in sweetness and kisses.

A tremendous read but another astonishingly awful cover and perhaps that explains why there's no artist attributation.
