I first read this in October 2000.

Archeology students Andre, Chris and Kate venture back to the Middle Ages searching for their lost professor, and get thoroughly muddy and bloody in the process.

I knew I shouldn't have given in. It was just that I was desperate for a book to read, and the only new book that was pure fantasy was "Timeline". And he did write the Andromeda Strain.

What's it got? quantum foam, the multiverse (but only as a device to permit time-travel, all other exciting aspects completely ignored), knights, swords and gun-powder, and the feeling that this is the going to be turned into a filmscript for a major movie coming to your screens real soon now.

Loaded on the 22nd May 2001.
